new job- Can I get a mortgage?

in Mortgages & endowments
I am just about to start a new job on Monday but I have also decided to move house. Can I get a mortgage even though I will only have pay statements from my old employer?

    As long as you have been in continuos employment and you have a contract to show your income you will find a lender happy to take your new income.

    be careful which lenders you approach though as many will not accept applicants without being in current position for a minimum amount of time and if yuo are on a probationary period this could be a hinderance as well.
