I was half asleep this morning, but my local radio was talking about a website which has produced a list of the shelf life of loads of things - food, make up, toiletries etc - un-opened shelf life and then shelf life once opened.
It sounded really interesting, but I didn't catch the website, does anyone know it?? I never knew that , apparently, mayonnaise has an 'indefinite' shelf life whilst unopened!

Does your local radio station have a website or listen again feature so you could find out.
I have had a quick google but not found anything yet.

I'll have a look........it was Wave 105 and it was the breakfast show today.....
it seemed really interesting, they did a little quiz on how much shelf various random stuff has, thought it would be useful to other OS' ers with a cupboard full of various half used packets of food!"Stay Wonky":D

This sounds really interesting. It might be worth a phone call to the station? If it's soon enough they might still be able to backtrack and find it easily.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Just been having a quick look. Interesting it says only 1 year from date of purchase for tinned tuna. Funny that as most of my tins have the year 2008 on them.
So that is 2 years.
Thanks for that.
