Hi all, Well!!!! Where do I start? For those of you who remember me I first posted on this website over a year ago.... Very very depressed after my hubby left me and my daughter on the streets. Left with debts too... which then became a living nightmare thanks to a total screw up by the housing benefit and council tax overpayments of £5.5k being slapped on top. With the help from the Royal British Legion, to going BR (I could not even afford the BR money), it was a looonnnngggg year :-(
BUT!!!! a Couple of weeks before my automatic discharge on 22 May, I saw a fab local job, I applied...and got it in the space of 24hrs! Being a single parent, I was entitled to WTC and childcare assistance on top of my new earnings. Now mine and my little girl's lives have been totally transformed. That woman from last year who once cried herself to sleep is now on cloud nine and grinning like a cheshire cat.
Keep the faith everyone.....things CAN change for you too. I for one will be keeping my fingers crossed that many more of you post similar results.
) Much love and a MEGA thank you to all of you who helped me along the way. I'll never forget your kindness and support x x x

Hi Brimau
Congratulations on the new job and pleased to hear there is light at the end of the tunnel. My husband also walked out on me and my daughter in Jan of this year went BR March and things are slowly getting better. As I keep saying to myself things will get better but it was good to hear someone else has come through in the end.
Best wishes for your future:rolleyes: Unlucky Lill0 -

It may seem pathetic, but for the first time in two and a half years....I got my first pay. I went to the cashpoint and took money without checking the balance, fretting, panicking or plotting a 'rob peter pay paul' type scenario. It was only £50, but it felt FANTASTIC! I am by no means going to be silly. BR has taught me so much. Main point being to appreciate the little things and the true value of money.
I'm wishing OOODLES of luck to everyone else on here :-D:happyloveLife - Live it to the full, but live it wisely :A0 -
