Turning Boots Advantage points into cash...?

Hi,
I have about 30,000 Boots advantage card points, worth £300, and wondered what was the best way to turn them into cash. I don't use Boots all that much, and could use some extra money. Should i simply sell them - surely someone would pay, say, £260 for £300 worth of boots points - and you don't need anything except the advantage card to redeem them? Or should i buy something of substantial value from Boots with the points, and then sell it on ebay?
I'd appreciate any advice on this...
Thanks

I would try listing it on ebay but put a reserve on it of the minimum you will accept for it. Send it to them by recorded delivery.
If that fails buy lots of things with it and auction those off on ebay.
I collect Advantage card points and have had about £150 out of them altogether but I collect them all year and save them until Christmas.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Your advantage card has your name on it but other than that nothing. Anyone can use it as they dont check ID.
I suppose you could collect 30,000 points if you have been collecting them since it started which was about 1996ish I think and have never spent them.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
I got the points through an offer mentioned on here - taking up a mobile phone contract with Boots, which i was planning to do anyway.Debt free date: October 2006 :money:0

what i do when i get a big boots points balance is wait until they have another silly offer on and then pay for the offer with points then sell the stuff i get on ebay which normally gives a little profit on top as well.-....-.---.---. ..... .- -.-.

in the past they have had 3 rechargeable braun toothbrushes for about £9 in total (normally £20 each), intuition razors and blades half price with £3 off vouchers on the razors to get the blades for nothing, gift sets after xmas %75 off. you just have to bide your time and see what comes up.-....-.---.---. ..... .- -.-.

Why not use your points to treat yourself to an 'experience day'. Have a look on the website as they have various things such as spa day and hot air ballooning. Might as well use them for something decent.Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680
