Scallops - 30p each from Sainsbury's!

Options
Hey all,

This is the case in my local Sainsbury's, so I'm hoping it is a nationwide thing too. Went to my local store (Queen's Road, Norwich) to find scallops at the fish counter down from 99p each to 30p! This is an absolute bargain, so I'd suggest you grab them, otherwise I'll buy them all!

I think they're not selling well at the moment since they're considered a luxury, so get a bargain posh dinner tonight.

Can anyone else tell me if the price is the same in their local Sainsbury's?

Cheers!

They are more likely just reduced because they are approaching their sell by date.....happens all the time at our JS

    King scallop or queen scallop?

@twentypenceoff, have you ever wondered what lived inside a scallop shell? Well, these are them. ;) It's a shellfish with a white meaty flesh, shaped a bit like marshmallows.

Pan fry them in a little olive oil.

Scallops are nice MEMBER02 (:)) I like them anyway- mix them with other sea-food and dress with balsamic vinegar. Then leave to marinade for an hour plus.
When times up, eat with either salad, pasta or in crunchy bread rolls.
