http://www.londonisfree.com/ Enjoy!
Edit: Also IMO the tour bus is not worth the price you pay - the info you are given can be found in any cheap travel guide or online - just get a tfl travelcard and you can ride as many double deckers as you wantThere are some bus routes which basically follow the same route as the tour buses too.
Also if kids are young Hamleys toy store is really great there are always magicians, entertainers and free balloonsAlso they can try out some of the toys and computer games - always used to love going there when I was a kid. :P

I am off to London in October and have been sniffing out freebies. Check out enjoyengland.com they have a number of offers on there for BOGOFS on various attractions in London including a river cruise.
Tesco's were giving away vouchers for BOGOFS to various attractions as well, some of which were in London.
Plus don't forget to check out the restaurant deals on this site to make eating out cheaper as well.0 -
If you get an Oyster card (you can buy them online before you arrive, or at the tube station), you can save yourself a fortune compared to doing an organised bus tour. This site shows some of the good routes for sightseeing - the heritage routes 9 and 15 are really good choices as these are refurbished Routemaster double deckers, and they take in a lot of sights. Don't forget that a lot of London galleries are free, including Tate Britain & Tate Modern, the National Gallery. Check out Time Out for listings for cheap/free things that are going on and also great value places to eat - a little research will save you getting stung by an overpriced tourist trap!2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
You got me thinking when I saw this post and had a little peek around the
net...came up with this...looks like there's some excellent suggestions for freebies...might be worth checking out before you hit the Capital...but whatever you do, have fun and enjoy the time out...;)

Hamley's is great, The staff seem to play with the toys all day. I went 2 years ago when the remote controlled flying saucers was relatively new. Staff just played with it on the middle floor flying it up to the next level where the cafe is. and I'm sure he's getting above minimum wage the Jammy SwineSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
