Problem with Chicken

I need some help one of my six chickens rhode island reds is making a strange sound from its throat and no its not a cockeral. I have had them from last year point of lay and they have been doing really well I think this oe is still laying but this wired noise is causing me concern. I have given it some olive oil and it does get plenty of grit.

I have recently aquired 2 Maran chicks an 3 ducking maybe its taking the huff not sure any advice would be great thank you in advance.

    Molly i have the same problem with one of mine at the moment, i think the answer is they are getting broody, i have noticed that she does it when another chicken goes near her, once she has laid she seems to calm down
