    looking at Erin's shuffle now, it doesn't lock, so scratch that for an idea!!

    Is there an option to switch off genius? assuming itunes is unfrozen.....?
    I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Right as far as I can tell itunes works ok, I hid the genius thing and looked at my music (weird stuff) (the dubliners?)

    but when I plug in the shuffle the computer doesn't say anything.

    grrr. I hate that I can't make this work. I wanted to listen to it on the train to leeds.

    i get paid in 10 days time, plenty nos pend days lately, but car insurance due 2nd july and mates wedding on wednesday AND STILL have to get something for my cousins wedding!!!

    I am sure before I realised you needed itunes, I plugged the shuffle in and the comp recognised it.
