Yesterday while food shopping, I bought some All Bran brekky cereal, as it was on the reduced rack, of course
Having never had it before, I thought it would be a healthy-ish brekky for the week.
Anyway, have just attempted to get a bowl down this morning, and don't like it at all! It's like trying to chew through shredded carpet
But I noticed on the back of the box, that it says you can 'add All Bran to your favourite foods', and there are three examples: Lasagne, Chilli-con-carne, and All Bran muffins.
I was wondering if any of you have used this stuff to bulk out/stretch your meals, and if it's worth it? Is it easy to disguise once it's in a dish? It'd be a good way to get more fibre in our diet if I can disguise it in meals, but can't stick it if I have to spend ten minutes chewing a mouthful of lasagne!
Thought I would ask as it'll be a shame to throw away a whole box..."Your life is what your thoughts make it"
"If you can't bite, don't show your teeth!"

I have never tried any of the suggestions, but the fact that they put them on the packet could be an indication that the manufacturers know that the cereal isn't particularly appetising?
I agree with what you say - I tried it once and then binned the rest.

i have never cooked with it like that
but i imagine it will make a thick gravy in whatever you use it as it goes to mush in milk
years ago my dad uses to make cakes with it though and thtat was nice
similar to this recipe
gave it a nice bran flavour
