Full and final offer

I am trying to sort out my last problem debt - Sainsburys Credit Card - the community legal service after a great deal of trouble themselves negotiated a monthly payment arrangement with them which I have honoured. My father died at the end of 2005 and I have some money which I would like to offer against the debt for full and final settlement? Obviously I'll be doing this in writing but I wondered whether it would be better if the offer came through a third party e.g. solicitor or one of the agencies and what sort of % on the debt they might actually accept given that they have been the worst of ANY company to deal with so far. I read on these forums about what some card companies have accepted but it has certainly not been my experience with sainsburys or the agents to whom they sold the debt - Blair, Oliver and Scott

Make the offer yourself and see what happens TBH. If that fails, get someone to do it on your behalf and see if you make progress that way.
Either way, I'm sorry to hear about your loss0
