Thanks everyone. Lidl have massive bags of american popcorn on offer for 50p. Taste as good as any I have tasted (yum). Also they have big bags of flumps for 49p. Stocked up!Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
Morissons own brand tortilla chips (all flavours) and salsa dips are currently on offer at 50p each.
How about padding out food with jacket potatos - precook and wrap in foil to finish on the bbq0 -
if anybody's having a BBQ near me, feel free to PM me your address.

While your at Morrisons, their own brand silverskin onions are only 31p a jar (and are out of this world), add their £1.99 Irish cheddar, perhaps some pineapple chunks or some coctail sausages? (70's night? serve it in tupperware?)
Morrisons are also doing their indian/chinese selections 2 for £3 just now. around 8 to 10 different ones to choose from.
just for some nibbles whilst the bbq is doing what it does.0 -
Check with your daughter if/how many are vegetarians. Might need to get some veggie burgers in...0

Be careful with the punch, especially if the guests are bringing alcoholic contributions. What starts off as an innocuous vodka and fruit drink can end up with everyone throwing up in the flowerbeds, once goodness knows what gets added to the punch bowl.
Most important thing - beg or borrow enough garden chairs so that everyone can sit down. If anyone has a gazebo they would lend you, that will extend the time people want to be outdoors.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
