Free online Footie Game

Options
Its a bit like Football Manager/Championship Manager but its FREE to play online.

I've just set up a league called Worldwide Premier D1 (League ID 209555).
Go to xperteleven.com/?lid=209555 (with www. in front of it)
You ony need to go on it a couple of times a week to compete.

Enjoy :-)

Please ignore the first post, the threads were merged and the first post references a league which no longer exists!

    Read on! :-)

    Hi.

Do you fancy yourself as a football manager?
    Come and prove it!

There is an online football management game that is totally FREE to play. I've been playing it for a while and I have now decided to set up my own league.

This league will consist of new members to the site only. The idea is that then all players have the same knowledge and can all learn together.

I will be providing guidance and help at all times on how to play the game.

    The game is at www.xperteleven.com

sign up and then click search on the menu on the left hand side.
League id is 214767 you can then apply for a new team in the league

If your signing up it would be helpful to me if you posted here too so I know whats happening!

    some features of the game

Ability to set a wide range of tactics
Transfer market to buy and sell players
    Player Training
    Youth talents
Forum and chat facility to interact with other managers.
Choose your own team name and stadium.
    Pools competiton

    and many many more.

    check it out!

OK, so it's free... but how does it compare to the Football Manager series?

well as you might expect from a free online game its not as in depth as the football manager series.

simple differences like in xperteleven you choose a basic formation for each game, you dont tweak every little setting like in fm.

Skill is simply represented as a number and form to tell you how well the player is playing rather than the loads of variables in FM.

It's in depth enough for an online game where you might at most spend 30mins a day. Dont expect to sit and be on it for hours on end, unless your having a good chat with a fellow manager

For me the main difference is the interactivity with other managers.

Costs you nothing to give it a go!! :D

fair play! I just like the added dimension of a bit of fun and banter with other real people in the online game.

I still play FM as well as many others do but enjoy this game too.

sorry didnt mean to seem negative
it just seems this game is quite structured where as with footymanager and championship manager you can alter settings and tactics etc which make a more realistic experience

there is certainly more variables to play with in champ man or football manager, but i find there is enough in xperteleven to keep me interested.
