Looking for 50th birthday girlie weekend ideas?

My friend is 50 next year and there are 6 of us (girlies) looking to go away for a night. We did think about a weekend at Center Parcs but we all have young children (don't want to be away from them for too long) and we also thought that it would work out quite expensive. We had also thought about a spa day/night (I know you can get some deals), but we all did that for a 40th, so wanted to try something a bit different. Any ideas?? We are all Essex girls (!), so not too far away from there either!

PS the oldest will be 50 (but a "young" 50), and the youngest 35 (that's me!!!!!).

Now I wouldnt mind that - sounds great fun, but I'm not sure my friend would be so keen! She was after more of a relaxing weekend!!! x
