Trust Deed completion

Hi there all, can anyone advise us on what to do next please? The trust deed was taken out in my husbands name only and was completed over a year ago after 3 years. When we checked our credit history there is 1 defaulted item from Nationwide current account in our joint names, but this has been paid from the Trust deed. When i called Nationwide and enquired about this account i was told there was no account with them anymore. But, the other day we had letter from Nationwide stating that as the TD was in my husbands name and current account is in joint account names then i am still responsible for this debt! Confused on that one :huh:
So they cannot 'satify' this on my credit history. There was also another account in Clysdale account and apparently they did not repy or apply to the TD for payment, so we cannot get that account 'satisfied' either on our credit history account! Does anyone know if there is someone who we can write to to get this changed? We have been in contact with both Experian and our TD and are finding we are banging our heads against a brick wall!
We are trying to get a mortgage and with these accounts still defalted and not 'satisfied' we have no chance! So sad that we have deposit and have found the house of our dreams and now we can't go any further! Please can anyone help here?
