I was made redundant last month and tried to claim on my PPI to cover the loan whilst i find work. I was told that only my wife was covered, so i wrote to the PPi customer concerns team and they informed me i was not misold the PPI. I have just been offered a good will payment of £750, on the basis that such an offer is accepted in full and final settlement of all or any claims which i might have against the royal bank of scotland grou or any subsidiary companies in respect of my payment protect insurance policy.:j:confused:
Question......do i reject this, and claim for the PPi seperate

Hi there
Good that they have made you an offer.:T;)
Now in regards of this being protected, if the ppi was cancelled I would still make sure there is adequate cover to protect the loan re payments, such as stand alone protection, this can be purchased as Income protection, I will post a link below for your information.

I take if your wife is covered because she is working more than 16 hours a week?
If she is not then she has a case of being mis sold this policy, but like I said this depends if she is employed or not.
Always check out the terms and conds of the policy as they all vary from one to another with another company.
If your happy with the offer that is fair enough, although I would also check on what it would have been otherwise, if there was a big difference in the offer and what the PPI you have already paid in, I would personally check on that as well.
If this was the case, I would ask if they are prepared to take the offer any higher, if they do not then you always have the financial ombudsman service (FOS), which however, can take some time due to the amount of these complaints they are currently dealing with.
But that is just my "personal opinion with what I would do".
For more information on Mis selling of PPI, check this link out here if you've not done so yet, good luck.;)
