Redeem vouchers without having to buy products concerned?

Sorry if this has been asked before?!!:o Did a quick search but couldn't see anything, which was a surprise!
Vouchers you get on packets through the door etc., where can these be redeemed without having to buy the items involved, have a few lying around and would like to use them rather than binning them?!
Many of the big supermarkets used to take them, not sure if any still do?
THANKS.

I assume you searched 'vouchers' (you need to think 'coupons' instead!).
If you had searched 'coupons' in the forum search box above and you'd have found literally loads and loads of threads! The thread with the coupon policies (which apply to both printable and orginal money-off coupons) at the Supermarkets is a sticky at the top of this board, here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1734581
There's also a 'products with coupons' thread which shows which items in Supermarkets have a coupon attached. Once you know you can use coupons, you then might like to seek them out on products, which is what many of us on this forum board do.
There's also the Daily Newspaper thread every day on this board. It doesn't exist to discuss the news, lol! The newspaper thread is there to tip coupon-hunters off, plus to list any freebies or offers as well. I can't link to it as it changes every day, you would need to get into the habit of searching 'newspaper' or looking for it each morning on the main listings for this Discount Codes & Vouchers board.
Finally, there's the magazine offers thread, which tips off similar offers and coupons to be found in magazines. Always worth a look (and a link is provided in the first post of every day's newspaper thread so you can check the latest posts on mags as well each day).
BTW, the simple fact is it's no longer OK in Asda, but Tesco and Waitrose still accept coupons without buying the products.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
