Do I need anything apart from the software on the CD to load tracks from my own CDs to this device?

I'm a complete technophobe. If I want to copy music from my own CDs to this device is the software all on the CD that comes with it? I'm not bothered about downloading files or anything fancy.

The best way to rip the CD's into MP3 files (others will there own favourites) is Exact Audio copy and LAME. it's free http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

First you'll need to convert your current CD tracks to MP3 (see Lorian post) but once that's done it's just a matter of dragging and dropping them. Once your player is plugged into you PC it will appear under my computer as a removable storage device. So dead simple - just select the files or folders you want to put on the player and drag and drop them - that's all you need to do.

Currys have sent me a pack of four Philips Extremelife batteries. So it was worth dropping them an email :)

These were avaialble 2 or 3 weeks back, and sold out very quickly.

I bought two, one was faulty, my local store took that back without any hassle. Am very pleased with the other one, I use it daily.

I bought a few of these for gifts and for myself last time round and out of 5 bought 4 were faulty and had to go back. I personally think their definaition of reconditioned in this case is a customer return which could include ones returned faulty. I cant actually see that something solid state and imported from the other side of the world would be worth reconditioning.

btw new ones of these are selling on eBay for about the same price.
