High-spec laptop for £699 at Lidl from 3 April

Really not that cheap anymore for that spec, 512mb ram, integrated graphics average speed processor, you can get better deals than this.

Agreed, you can get a better centrino setup for less. A dvb tuner is only about 35 quid and the 256mb stick is worth nowt.

A friend bought a few Targa notebooks in the past and they have been terrible. His has needed two new motherboards replaced under warranty. It is dead again needing another motherboard but now out of warrenty. His brother's died and also needs a new mnotherboard. One he got for a friend has also had problems.

On the other hand I think Targa just rebrand other peoples hardware so these new laptops may be ok.
