  • I did that once, a very long time ago, with a jar of Morrison’s chocolate spread. The glass had cartoon policemen going ’round it, if I remember right.

Loved it, and was very sad to lose it when I broke it :(

You can save the lid from the nutella as well, to have a small glass container (fridge? yoghurt?) and also I think I remember using the lid as a cover for an opened tin of cat food, before evil cat went on her special diet.

I LOVE nutella, but try and ration myself :o

I think it has been on approved foods as well, but I am not sure if it is currently on. :o I daren't look.

Edited to add - Shazzles welcome to MSE - there are some lovely people on here. I am sure you will find it a friendly place.

I've only ever seen plain jars - do they do patterned ones often or is it only now and then - I like the sound of them

Our best little glass is from a jar of cornichons (like little gerkins) that we bought in a French supermarket - just the right size for morning oj, and nice to hold.

Our best whisky glasses, on the other hand, are fab, heavy bottomed, hand-blown glasses etched with the Bailey's logo - they came from the tip and cost 10p each.
