Can we really complete in a week?

We finally received confirmation today by phone that the Abbay have agreed our mortgage. It has been a nail biting time, with lots of pressure on everyone as everyone in our chain would like to complete next Friday (19th).

Is this a reality? The mortgage paperwork is due to be sent out on Monday but time is ticking and I can't really believe we can complete in 5 working days.

    If your solicitor is on the ball then it's possible.

    I exchanged and completed in 4 days but the solicitor did have everything ready.
    Cleared £23,848.22 of debt between Jan 2008 and September 2009. Now a saver rather than a spender!

    Our solicitor is fully on board and all paperwork is in order and ready (I think).

    I guess its a wait and see scenario.

    Main thing is that the solicitor requests funds in plenty of time. Be prepared to chase them regularly, make sure they're doing their job.
