Bristol - Good butcher/greengrocer?

I've recently moved to Bristol and am looking for a good butcher and greengrocer to shop at, preferably in the South Bristol area.

I'm aware of Taste, but my funds don't stretch that far! :p

Thanks :)

I don't know Taste, but there's the Farmer's Market in Corn Street (central) on a Wednesday morning.

And the Slow Food Market first Sunday of the month along the harbourside.

And isn't there something at or near the Tobacco Factory on a weekly or monthly basis as well?

Various places do organic veg boxes, of course.

If you can get to St Pauls/St Werburghs there's the Better Food Company.

I don't know the south at all well, or even what's considered South. I think there's a food coop in Hartcliffe for those who live in the area.

    Does any of that help?

    Thanks Sue :)

Taste is in St Nicks Market, it's fairly new. Fabulous food, but very expensive!

I'll look into the thing at the Tobacco factory cuz I live in Bedminster so that'd be useful!

Wish I could get to the Slow Food Market but I work on a Sunday.

Thank you so much, that's been very helpful :T

  • Hi Zigmeister- not sure about butchers but I would definitely recommend Banana Boat greengrocers in Totterdown. There is a Stokes grocer in Broadwalk shops (Knowle) which is also pretty good. Hope that helps
Saving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j
