Fathers day...flowers?

I was trying to decide what to get my dad for fathers day and had the idea that i might send him some flowers. I know it's a bit unusual to send flowers to a man but i don't see any reason why it shouldn't be done, and everyone likes flowers, right?
But are there any particularly "manly" flowers that i should go for?:rotfl:
Or are flowers a bad idea for a fathers day gift?

Hiya, flowers show how much you care and everyone loves them.
How good are you at crafts! On the web is lots of templates for things like best dad award and printable medals that say no. 1 dad etc...
The best gift is your time, prehaps offer to spend the afternoon helping in the garden(you could be the one to put the kettle on!).
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

Does he do gardening normally? You could send him something from a garden catalogue perhaps.

It's definitely chocolate not flowers in this household, although potted plants are somehow acceptable as are DVD's or books!
