Who can think of a way to mend my suitcase?

I just got home from a work trip and one of my suitcase wheels has completely vanished
I really don't want to buy a whole new case just cos of one wheel and I know you are all very good at thrifty make-do-and-mend type activities so thought I'd see if you had any ideas cos I am stuck.
I get loads of trains so I can't really cope without the wheels.

I am thinking cotton reels or a trip to the dump to see if any have the same wheels as yours.0

Go to a charity shop and buy a secondhand case for a couple of pounds. Perform a wheel transplant!Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0

How big are the wheels ?
The likes of Screwfix or B&Q do a wide range of wheels and casters if you could get them to fitLiverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Can I ask what make your case is? A friend of mine had a Samsonite one which broke just before the waranty expired. They replaced it straight away without even asking to see the waranty...There is no such thing as a free lunch. Its only free because you've paid for it.
Noone can have everything they want and the sooner you learn that the better.

DD is off to Mallorca tomorrow with a fab bright red wheeled suitcase from Freecycle. Suspect it was from a bereavement house clearance and the luggage labels from the last hols were still attached. Awww!
Our old case with the broken wheel has been pressed into moth-proof , mouse-proof storage in the loft!0 -
They are brilliant ideas everyone, thankyou
I don't think it has a brand I'm afraid, my mum got it 6 years ago from poundstretcher or somewhere similarit's not the greatest suitcase but i can't bear to think of it going into landfill just for the sake of one wheel.
Anyway there are lots of ideas to try here so I'm sure something will work out, thanks again!August grocery challenge: £50
