Advice with Empire order

Hi, not sure if this is the right place, but here goes; I bought one of those digital cameras (as in the MSE newsletter) from Empire a few weeks ago, it came on the 18th of this month, and as with everyone else on here, it was a rubbish, inferior model, not only that, but they had billed me 2X what I was charged at checkout and in my confirmation email! so I sent them an email that same day requesting it's collected and the balance on my account with them deleted, anyway, I got a reply on the 22nd (yes, 4 days later) :mad: saying their courier would collect it in 2 - 5 working days, 8 days later and I still have the item, I sent them another email yesterday (hopefully get a reply early next week if I am lucky) but the 2 week returns period expires the day after tomorrow, what can I do? it's not my fualt that I requested collection withing 1/2 hour of the item arriving (I did try calling the courier first but got no reply) and they confirmed they would collect, can they force me to pay double what I was quoted at checkout for something which may as well go in the bin, it's that rubbish? Thanks for any help

Its free returns at the post office so take it there then email them to say its on its way back to you so i wont be paying anything.

I ordered the same camera but when my parcel arrived it was out of stock so got all the other bits i had ordered for free!!!

Your not missing much!!! I got the same TV from Daxon a while back thinking it would be handy for the kitchen, yeah right! Was trying to tune it in last night to watch Desperate Housewives as i made my dads birthday cake and i couldnt get anything! So tempted to chuck it out!!! I got a coffee maker from them and ive already got one the same still in the box from last time i ordered something! Thats 2 more bits for the bin!!

Glad you got it sorted, my hubby used to courier for Empire (and others) and he always did his collections as you get paid for them too so surprised at your courier not coming to get it.
