I don't know what to do next! I have been trying to get a loan but have such bad credit from where my ex husband left me in trouble with money a few years back i can't seem to get a loan anywhere!!!

I don't normally get things on credit/loans and i run a simple cash in cash out bank account so cant get one from my bank, i have be refused from a car sales place and from a loan place that deals with poor credit.

My car is on it's last legs and needs replacing , i have tried going without one and saving but it's going to take me ages and i cant do without as i have 2 young children that go to different schools 3 miles apart and my partner works 15 miles from home ( which he rides his bike at the moment but come winter time i run him) as well as normal daily use that the car is required for.

Any advice on what i can do ?

If your own bank and adverse credit lenders are declining you then in the short term there is nothing you can do. Have you got a family member who could perhaps help you oout. You need to get hold of your credit files and start sorting them out, step by step. There are lots of very helpful people on here that will help you on your way.

Do you have any credit cards at the moment, with any reasonable limits on them? From your text I am assuming not; however wanted to confirm as some credit card companies allow you to do a transfer to your current account.

Did anyone else step 15 feet away from their monitor / laptop in order to read the OPs text more easily or was it just me?

You could probably get a car that works for about £500 (or even less if you know someone who's good with cars - mine was £250). Is there any way that you can scrape together that amount of money? Live on beans on toast for a month and borrow a small amount from a family member?

Can the school help out with transport? I've read somewhere else on the forum about this (someone else can probably advise), it might be worth looking into.
