Special General Meeting - countdown to the vote:
We have updated our demutualisation and flotation timetable. A key date is the Special General Meeting, scheduled to take place on 31 May 2006. We also have an update on the website on when we plan to send out the Vote and Proposal pack.
You can view our latest Timeline on our website at http://www.standardlife.com/demutualisation. The website also has a handy countdown timer which shows visitors how long it is until the planned date for the Meeting.
An update on demutualisation entitlement:
Every member who is eligible will receive a fixed allocation of shares. Most members who are eligible will also receive a variable allocation of shares which will take into account various factors including policy type, the size of their with profits investments as at 30 March 2004 and the length of time those investments have been continuously invested in with profits with Standard Life as at that date. For legal and practical reasons some eligible members - for example, some overseas members - will not be able to receive shares. They will receive cash instead.
Please note there is no guarantee Standard Life will demutualise and you should not base your financial decisions on our demutualisation plans at this stage.
You can read more about this on our website at http://www.standardlife.com/demutualisation

website also says the voting pack will give an indication of share value. so looks like we are soon set to see what this dm will mean £wise after all the speculation. i repeat, indication. Please note, we've had to remove your signature because it was sh*te!0

No you haven't already voted! Don't see how you could think that. You simply confirmed your details last year. What exactly did you think you had voted in favour of? Your name and address? Was no information or proposal to vote on in that mailing.
I guess the values given in the proposal will be an indication based on their analysts value at the time of the voting forms being issued in mid-April.
IF the vote goes through on 31 May then the final value would be probably be based on the value at the time of flotation. A lot can happen in that time from mid-April to June.MFW 2015 #41 = £20,515/£20,515
