HOTPOINT WD860G Washer/Dryer

My washer broke so I set about the task of finding the above cheaper after my wife found it in argos for £449 + del

After 2 hours found it at http://www.bennettsonline.co.uk/household/laundry/washer-dryers/hotpoint-wd860g-09401619 for £349.89 inc del. Went through quidco for £12 back so over £117 saving! Delivery took 3 days!

The actual machine is this one (Graphite in color) http://i.pricerunner.com/prod/7_8_15_3_264907l/Hotpoint_WD860G.jpeg very smart and very quiet although the bennetts picture is white!!

We have one of those - it is the noisiest, most badly made machine we have had the misfortune to own.

The front of the machine is made of such thin metal that just pushing it under the worktop causes dents, and any spin speed above 1000 makes it sound like a jet engine. It;s already broken down once in the first 3 months - the heater element packed up and had to be replaced. Apparently there is a major design fault and the whole unit gets replaced - even the engineer ssid it was poor.

Dont buy it,its a rebadged Indesit.

Buy a proper machine from Bosch.

Does anybody know if hotpoint have stopped making washer dryers completely to be replaced by badged indesit's ?
For instance is the bottom of the range WD420 (that looks different to the rest) still a hotpoint but the rest indesit ?
I have a hotpoint now, and it has done OK for 6 years. If however they have changed for poor quality indesit stuff since they were bought then perhaps it is time to look at a bosch or something else.
Any recommendations people ?

https://www.washerhelp.com is a good place to look for advice , its says there is a design fault in Hotpoints as you cant clean the filters and have to get an engineer out if you get a blockage, most machines have a small cover at the front for this purpose
