Hi
I need a new washing machine as mine is just about to die, last year I subscribed to Which for the month free trial as needed a new fride and dishwasher, their advice was really useful.
Just tried to do the free / cheap month trial again in order to get washing machine reviews but when putting in my address they said I couldn't do it again! Thats fair enough.
Is there anyone at the moment who is subscribing to which who would mind giving me which feedback on the following appliances please?
(They are all the black washing machines)
LG F1402FDS6 and LG1406TDSP6 (Also anyone have any comments on steam washing machines?)
Or
Bosch WAE2446BUK (Excel range)
I would be really gratefull if anyone could help please.

The library should (or some do anyway) have recent copies of which?
However if you search on the forums there was a similar post on the "in my home" board and i responded to that giving some which best buys.0 -
Both the LG F1402FDS6 and WAE2446BUK are rated well although the LG F1402FDS6 is rated quite a bit higher.
Both are said to have a noisy spin as their downside. But otherwise they are given the thumbs up. And the LG is said to have a poor rinse cycle on cottons.
The other LG isn't reviewed.*Make every day Caturday*0 -
Yes, my Bosch has a noisy spin but it's not for long and I'd rather that than dripping wet clothes like an old Candy I once had. Best of luck.:A

I went to a friend who worked in a major electrical store and asked his advice on washing machines. He said most customers (with families) are back within 18 months to 3 years for a replacement depending on the brand. The two exceptions were Bosch, where he stated they usually last around 10 years or Miele who are very expensive, but he did say you never see the customers again!
And don't believe everything in Which? Magazine either. In the trade I work in, they were telling people how to get better value for money from a certain range of items. Unfortunately, they were giving you instructions on how to damage the item instead.0 -
Yeah I bougth the Bosch Black dishwasher last year and it is very good I have to say and must admit I do feel Bosch would be better, but doesn't feel as solid as the LG, although both have a real plastic feel about them (strange comment I know but spent time in Currys and Comet opening and shutting dispenser drawers etc!).
LG, well we have had a couple of LG mobile phones that have been just ok, not brilliant, but the steam factor appeals as does the larger wash load!Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0 -
I've got a copy of the Which report on washing machines from a few months ago. If you would like I can email it to you, if you PM me your email address.
After much consideration, we bought an Electrolux, which was rated as reliable. Sadly it had a problem within a few weeks of buying it, as there was something wrong with the timer. They came out and fixed it free of charge, so at least that aspect of the service was good.0 -

I'd recommend Bosch. Ours is still going strong after 10 years. However dont write off old washers straight away as some repairs on washers are pretty easy. Ours occassionally gets bra wire stuck in the pump and therefore leaves you with soggy clothes at the end of the drain cycle. Only a 5 min job to fix. Also just had to replace the bushes as the spin cycle stopped working. Cost me the grand total of £10 in parts and just 30 minutes to fix and she is good to go for another 10 years. Usually I just google the problem and there are pictures online to talk you through the repair.0

Another vote for Bosch. My washing machine is around 9 or 10 years old and has never let us down. It's strong and sturdy, and silent when running.
Highly recommended.0
