I know I feel a bit  now - sorry Bookie
See what you're saying Sammy - its a very tough situation to be in...is there likely to be an end to the project soon that you can focus on in the meantime?0 -
Thats really sad Bookie
, but sometimes you need to be stable and alone and it works...still I am a full on romance gal so I cant imagine ever not believing in love (naive I know )
Becky - much much better for you to be naive....hell if we were all bitter and twisted we would never get married in the first place. I was brought up by a terminal man hater so not much chance for me to be honest........
I didn't want to get married cos I said as soon as that wedding ring is on a finger things change and you start to take each other for granted. It takes a while but it does happen. It takes monumental effort to keep communications open and the love flowing..........

snags depends what he is studying...medicine, law, dentistry??
He's studying to be a teacher.
I should point out he's a mature student, I'm not seeing a 19 year old btw!
He worked in IT for a long time but always wanted to retrain as a teacher, so when he split up from his long term partner, he decided to go ahead and do it.
One of the first things he said to me was that he felt bad that he couldn't offer me the big house, flash car, 7 holidays a year lifestyle that he'd like to!I've got my own house and car, I can never get time off from work and I'm allergic to the sun...none of that stuff is important to me.

Who also thinks the world is about to end any minute.....
Sad thing is I took up running cos he ran.......he did his first marathon in 3hours 20mins (albeit 20 years ago now) and it was something we could do together....it didn't happen and I now run faster than he does....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

afternoon all, been doing lots of catching up etc.
Lou - thinking of you , hun xxxxx
I'm definitely more on the bitter and twisted side of the fence these days, actually not bitter, just very cautious. I don't particularly trust anyone very much anymore. Iused to be the other extreme years ago, trusted everyone at face value, thought everyone was 'great'"Stay Wonky":D

I'm actually not bothered about getting married as it happens for much the same reasons - although weirdly my mum and step-dad have been married 20 years and they are still loved up - its a bit gross actually0 -

From what he said Im guessing that his old partner really wanted all of those things which is probably why he stayed in his old job rather than go into teaching for her!
Not many men would even think that way, whats mine is mine!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
