Sooo excited. My DD (8) entered Paula the Cow competition to win family trip to Egypt (write and sing a jingle/rap). She was shortlisted last week and had to sing her entry over the phone. Anyway - just had a phone call......she has made it through to the semi-finals in Bristol!!!!! All semi-finalists win a Nintendo DS and Game - so she is already well chuffed.
I am so proud of her. She worked really hard on her song and has been practising it non-stop. She will now have to perform on stage and have a few moooves to go with the 'jingle/rap'. If she makes it through to the finals (at Legoland) - then she has a shot at winning the trip to Egypt.
This is our first win (not counting mars balls and galaxy books of course) since entering comps from this website. So thank you to all the posters (especially the person who listed this comp). It took some effort - but seems like it has paid off already.
Sorry for the long ramble - but I am just so excited and proud of her I could just bust and feel the need to tell anyone who will listen. I may go outside now and stop random strangers in the street and share my news!!:rotfl:
Once again.......thanks everyone!!!:T
