My day at court...

I'm posting this because I couldn't read enough of them on my run up to BR, so hopefully it will give somebody some ressurance, as those others did me.
I arrived 35 minutes early, and was seen early as a result, I was taken into a small office with just a desk, two chairs and a telephone. The clerk went through my papers, asked me to sign the copies, and I swore an oath & paid, all taking about 10 minutes. He then left to take the papers to the judge, came back with them stamped and declared me BR, this took less than five minutes. He told me that he was going to get my BR order papers and that while he was out the phone would ring and to pick it up, it would be the OR. He said that he would come in in the middle of the call to pass me my BR order and then leave and I was instructed to leave the court when the phone call was over.
It took approximately two minutes for the phone to ring and about 10 minutes on the phone with the OR. I then packed my stuff up and left, I was in and out in less than half an hour.
Everybody was really lovely and friendly, and I was told that the frequency of BR has risen so much that the process has had to be 'streamlined' to accomodate it, which made me feel better.
And that, my friends, was that. I am bankrupt. And a little dazed and confused, to be honest.
I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone on here, it's an amazing forum, and people's willingness to help is brilliant. A massive learning curve has been gained too. No more credit for me again, whether I can get it or not. It's too easy a trap to fall into. Thank you once again.

Wow, that's efficient. Do you mind me asking what court that was?0

Of course, it was Hull Court and they were excellent. He said from the beginning it would take 40 mins max, but was much quicker. I rang my mum after and she thought I must have forgotten my forms because I was out so fast!Seeing the light, at long last...BR: 11th June 2009!:T0

You'll be fine, Hanstar,I was so worried beforehand, but it was so straightforward for me, I know all cases are different, but the form was a million times harder. Good luck, Hanster..Seeing the light, at long last...BR: 11th June 2009!:T0

Well done, I'm pleased for you that it went well. Mine was similar to yours although it took nearer an hour and a half as there was alot of waiting around.0
