Do not use total refund please.
Hello everyone,
I received an automated phone call from TOTAL REFUND stating that I may be entitled to have my Alliance and Leicester loan written-off (unenforceable). I foolishly signed up for this as I am off work on statutory sick pay (£75 per week) and have been so for more than 2 months after suffering traumatic brain injuries following an assault.
Fortunately my condition has improved and I am to return to work soon. This coupled with information contained on this site led me to cancel the agreement within the 14 day cooling off period as I felt it had been mis-sold to me by the telesales representative.
The Short Version.
I paid for the service on the 14th May. I have requested a refund on no fewer than 8 occasions. It is now the 11th June and I have yet to receive a penny of the £195 I paid.
The Long Version.
During the 14 day cooling off period I requested a refund on no fewer than 5 occasions (4 times on the phone and once in writing) and I have yet to receive it. On the 18th May I sent a letter requesting a refund and phoned up twice only to be cut-off. On the 20th May 2009 I spoke to an employee who said that a refund would be put through. On the 22nd I phoned to speak to a supervisor but she was unavailable. I also enquired about my refund but was informed that no refund had been processed. I phoned again on the 27th to speak to the supervisor but again they were unavailable. I was informed that a cheque refund should be with me in the next few days. On the 28th I received a phone call from the supervisor. After a drawn out conversation where she tried to get me to reconsider my decision I was informed that a refund was on its way. On the 8th June I phoned up again and spoke to a gentleman who said that a refund cheque had been sent out on both the 22nd and 28th May although he later contradicted himself by giving an explanation as to why the cheques had not been sent out. I finally spoke to the supervisor again on the 11th June and received the usual explanation that a request had been sent to the refund department but that an error must have occurred.
I have now gone to trading standards to try and get my money back.
These guys are a con and I advise you to look elsewhere if you wish to have your debts written off. I for one will not be pursuing this action at all.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. Please do not bother with the moral issue that plagues every post regarding debt cancellation I work for a bank. I am aware of many morally dubious activities persued by both banks and employees. I also worked for phones4u the most corrupt and morally vacuous company ever.

Hi there, sorry you have fallen prey to these refund scammers. Have just had a look at their website and they are supposed to be Regulated by Ministry of Justice. They also claim to have an Office Of Fair Trading Consumer Licence(number is on website). They also state their refund policy ie 14 days cooling off. It would seem that you have a good case against them. Try your Trading Standards, but they can be a bit slow. Or write to the Office of Fair Trading might get better responce of them .0
