I won my wedding on 08/08/08

I know this is a bit after the event but I only just discovered this forum.

As a regular moneysaver and avid follower of the site you can imagine how ecstatic I was to find out I'd won an entire wedding last year.

The prize was offered by Perfect Weddings and Honeymoons, a specialist wedding travel agent, and was sponsored by WeddingTV. I've never seen the channel but was given the details in Simply Prizes magazine so duly registered - despite not being engaged at the time, although we were vaguely discussing a 2010 wedding date!
Anyway, a few weeks later I missed a call from Perfect Weddings asking me to call back. Convinced I had not been lucky and they were going to try and sell me a wedding I called back. Lucky for us that I did!
On 7th August last year my now-husband and I flew to Salzburg where we stayed for 3 nights in a fabulous hotel with everything we could possibly need for our wedding arranged for us - beautifully decorated wedding pavillion, registrar and translator, flowers, vintage car, photographer, dinner and cake, champagne breakfast on our first day as Mr and Mrs - the works! It was the most amazing experience and Perfect Weddings also made arrangements for our parents to join us.
We only provided the rings and our outfits and we were all set.

I had won some minor things before this, and still avidly enter competitions but if I never win again this has been more than enough!!

However, in line with big events, I have just last week won a Pregnancy and Baby Care Manual - We have no immediate plans, but I will put the book away in readiness!!

I hope this story inspires others to keep entering...

Well, it's all too easy to think it will be someone else and to doubt whether people do actually win, so forums like this keep everyone going with their entries!
