Hiya all! :hello:
Just thought that I would pop in to let you know that I have been to view the bungalow back home
the bungalow was a bit run down and in desperate need of some tender loving care but it should be ok once it has been decorated and the new carpets and shower are fitted
there was another couple waiting to view the property just after us and so I asked if I could put a holding deposit on the property as we where definately interested in renting the property, he said that I would have to phone the main letting office to set this up,
when I phoned the main office they asked me what my full time employment was I said that I was a full time carer for my wife who receives a gauranteed pension they then said that the where very sorry but is was against there policy to rent to anyone on the DHSS and that they could only rent to people in employment :eek::eek:
they said that they would contact the landlord on monday to ask if he would be prepared to rent to us
howether as I was rushing to the train staion to get the train back home the letting agent phoned me back to say that they had managed to contact the landlord and that he was prepared to let the rental go ahead subject to the necessarry credit checks and references and my supplying a gaurantor for the rent :j:j:j:j
missed the train because of the phone call and had to wait another hour for the next one!,
so we could be back nearer home hopefully in 1-2 months time:D:D:D
Best of Luck
