Anyone heard of CCS collections?

Its just i had a message left on my mobile phone from them, saying i should call the asap with a reference number. But i have no idea who they are, and dont want to call as it might be a scam? Has anyone heard of them at all?

  • I know of CCS Enforcement Services which are a collections agency. You could ring them on 01527 576115 and see if it is them???

I wouldn't phone them. If they want to get in touch, they'll write.

Is there any chance this could be a statute-barred debt (over six years since last acknowledged)? If so, they're trying to get you to acknowledge it and reactivate it.

Whatever you do never enter into a telephone conversation with a debt collector, they will try and convince you of all sorts of things. Wait for a sensible letter from them (they have to by law tell you why they're trying to track you down)

Then write to them with the "I do not acknowledge any debt" letter sending it recorded delivery and ask for more info. Some companies aren't even entitled to chase you.
