hi there, i am in exactly the same situation!! (except i am not with b & e). i rang them on monday, then again yesterday to ask what the situation was, as i had exactly the same thought - they saw my situation and decided against ringing. they said that they were still following calls up from monday, as they were running a bit behind. i think she thought i was ringing to ask how long the initial call back takes - i have already done that, just waiting for the assessor person to call. all kinds of thoughts are running through my head...........!

Please be patient - Payplan are ferociously busy and it does take them time to call back. In the run-up before Xmas, for example, they had over 10,000 calls. Don't read anything sinister into it - there are only 2 free organisations (Payplan and CCCS) and an awful lot of people wanting help.

Agreed. Payplan offer a tremendous free service and its worth the wait for a FREE service.

I am sure they are just busy, nothing more to it! It is a fre service and, as you can see from ther popularity of this board, there are quite a few of us in need of help.

Hang in there, I am sure they'll get to you. Stay as far away as possible from any fee charging debt companies! They may respond more quickly but, you will be wasting money in the long run.

Ive had mi first call and am well on the way to setting up the DMP. In the beginning Payplan responded straight away but I have noticed they appear to have gone quiet on me recently and I am absolutely sure it is because they are tremendously busy. Your 'situation' as you put it will have nothing to do with it and if you look at how much I owe I'm sure, in fact I'm positive that wont be the reason. Try to be paitent you've done the right thing, they will be in touch. Hang in there.
