I still don't get this trialling process, the website statuses never make sense ("requested", "in progess" etc), I thought I had it sussed but nope, not at all. Haven't seen anything on the website for well over a week now and the last things I got to trial were the SPF 50 suncream and the blonde shade foundation (which, I have to add was v.good for my skin indeed).
Does seem weird that people seem to receive things that they haven't requested to take part in though????BR - 9th March 2009

I have been testing things for over a year and nothing makes sense about their website status. You would think a large company like Boots could get a decent program written. There seems to be no filter on the samples offered by age or gender.0

Me too,had nothing for ages,my OH hasn`t either:A :shocked::shocked: :A0 -
I've not heard from them either, I would assume its the postal strikes- I read in the newspaper that the backlog may mean Xmas gifts and cards would need to be sent in the next week or so, and if Boots sends out samples to get the results ASAP, the mail service would really be letting them down and they may have decided to hold off on trials atm?
Just a guess, could be wrong but I'm waiting until after Xmas to email them to ask whats going on.0 -

Boots do say ( I don't know if you've seen it) that there ARE no filters on such things as even if the product is for a man and you are a woman (for example), we will all have loved ones, etc, who can test those products for us on our behalf. I think it's a great thing personally as you're not restricted.MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0 -

You could be right... although it must be a quiet time of the year for trials at the moment.
A few months ago, there were loads of trials coming up and I registered for many of them (some, were the moment they appeared on the trials lists)... I didn't receive anything for ages and when I phoned, it was due to the fact that they were missing 6 questionnaires from me (they weren't... I had sent them and they admitted there was a big backlog they were having to process), but it automatically puts a block on you if you have 4 outstanding apparently.
Makes you wonder if they are missing lots of returned questionnaires due to the postal strike.
What I can't get, is that a company the size of Boots doesn't have a method of allowing you to complete the questionnaires and submitting them online (like Ayton etc do)? surely it would be easier for them as they could just be sorted automatically by trial number when they receive them, rather than having to open each envelope and manually process them all!
It would be a much more reliable system!0 -

They do have the option of emailing questionaires as they left a message saying my oh hadn't filled in a questionaire for the facial serum trial.(think this was lost in the post) he had to email his responses back to them but they then had missed 4 questions off and followed it up with a further email. you had to type in responses under the questions.
Basically it looked like they hadn't done this much before, but hopefully, if the post becomes an issue for them they may develop this way of responding more!0 -
