I'm not sure if this will help...try wrapping an elastic band around the top of the lid and see if that will help to unscrew it. I use this method when jars or bottles of fizzy pop are hard to undo.

You can add a cleanser to the list of things I've been sent to test but think I'll get my Mum to do that as she hasn't done any for a while!
