What about making them some easter cakes?
My mum used to do this when we were younger because she didnt have much cash either ( is this where I got it from?)
She used to make nests, out of cornflakes and melted choc, and then fill it with a couple of mini eggs.
Or one year she made a cake shaped like a chick and we all got a piece of it, only really works if everyone is together for cutting it.
Erm........... or what about making them eggs from paper mache around a balloon, blow it up egg shaped obviously, pop the balloon, cut the egg, carefully, in half (helps if its thin layers of paper mache and still slightly damp, then fill it with a bag of sweets, like a 20p mix up, then place them back together, do a couple of layers over it, then paint etc. Then when they come round etc, its like a pinyata (Im sure thats not how you spell it), and they get to break the egg to see whats inside?
All depends if you want to do the eggs cheaply store bought or save as much as poss.
The breakable ones, just used newspaper, wall paper paste glue, and some house hold paints?Time consuming but its a little bit different maybe?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I think Sainsburys are doing the slightly bigger ones - 3 for £4. The smaller ones are around 89p each...0
