Second Hand books online......

I'm wanting to get a pile of second hand books for when I go on my jollies. The best thing about buying them 2nd hand is that you can read them, then swap them or leave them for someone else, and you don't end up carrying a library round in your bag!
I've been looking on ebay, but books sell for silly money (for 2nd hand anyway - 99p + p&p) and had a look at amazon marketplace, but you pay £2-odd postage on each book!
Does anyone know of any cheap online 2nd hand bookshops or anything similar please???
cheers!

Have you tried readit swapit not sure of the address just now but they are good, you just pay for postage, or charity shops they have some really cheap books if you are intersted, i get mine from cats protection league. Or ask on freecycle.0

Postage is generally cheaper on ebay but even with the p&p on amazon you can pick up some 1p bargains. Otherwise try free cycle or free to collect.0

I do trawls of teh charity shops when i can - some of my best deals from there (the Beach - 20p, great book!)
The problem with the swappit site is that I don't really have any to swap
might just have to resign myself back to the charity shops.....0 -
Right that does it I am going to sell my used books...I didn't realise they went for so much online, last sold some at a carboot 6 for £1.
Have you tried green metropolis?0 -

Libraries sell old stock cheap. Markets another good source.0

Have you tried The Book People - the books aren't second hand but the book collections are sometimes amazingly good value.0

Hi
As someone as already mentioned here's the address for Read it Swap It, swap as many books as you like, but just pay for the postage.
http://www.readitswapit.co.uk/TheLibrary.aspx
I also look on Abebooks, but you have to pay postage, but they have a huge collection, any book you want.

Hope this helps0 -

Yeah..whatever :rolleyes:0 -
Or you could try https://www.eswapnow.com. I recently posted a message on the forum regarding this site and as a member I can say it is a great place to swap your books.
