Just thought i'd share, i bought 6 bottles of Baron Phillipe de Rothschild Enchante Sauvignon Semillion Bordeaux (2007) in Tesco today (they also have a merlot and rose in the offer) for £19
The wine is normally £6.99 a bottle, but currently on offer at 3 bottles for £10, but if you buy 6 bottles you get their 'case' discount of 5%.
Hope this helps someone else!
Offer expires 30th June 2009
Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:
Just to add to scrummy-mummy's top spot, it's while stocks last so if stock runs out before 30 June the offer will end before then. The offer's also available for online orders delivered by 30 June. If you're ordering online the discount won't show on your bill at the time of ordering online, but will be taken off at the time of delivery. Remember if you buy online there'll also be the usual delivery charge

I took advantage of this special offer, but combined it with "Save £1.25 when you buy any 3 bottles of wine" and "Earn an extra 40 points when you buy your favourite bottle of wine" (worth a £1.60 if exchanged for Clubcard vouchers) from the most recent issue of Tesco Wine Club magazine... What an absolute bargain!!!0

Martin's Money Tips is showing this as Claret, when it is a white wine !!!
SAuvignon-Semillon, but it is unavailable now anyway !"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
I bought some of this yesterday and it's even better value as the 5% case discount comes off the original price (£41.94), not the £20 offer price, so it works out at 17.90 for six bottles. :T:beer:0

Even better if you use your wine club vouchers and exchange clubcard tokens for double the value in-store.
BTW, you should also buy some other things as well, perhaps beer when you use the clubcard tokens as any monies left will go towards these as well.Don't waste your words I don't need,
Anything from you.
I don't care where you've been or,
What you plan to do.0 -
With the previously mentioned great offer my fianc!e and I decided to use both the red and white as the wine for our wedding day. We tried to buy it online when the offer first came out but due to a technical problem with their website they were unable to it.
Not to be outdone we ordered some in store to pick up, this was done on 15/06/2009. The day for collection was 23/26/09. While we were waiting for our order of 78 bottles of each type we were stockpiling the wine by buying it off the shelf in our local store.
When I drove down to Tesco with a van I had rented to pick up our 156 bottles to my horror they told me they were unable to get them from the warehouse because it was out of stock. (No phone call before, no real apology just that they can't guarantee orders placed in store)
My fianc!e and I don't want to mix and match different wine types so now have a bit of a problem thanks to Tesco. The annoying thing is that if they had told us that they could not get the delivery earlier we could have gone to all the local stores and brought more of the wine we were stockpiling from different stores and had enough.
I phoned Tesco and said I would drive anywhere in the country to pick some up if they had any left but they would not help. Even phoning the stores around proved fruitless as the most any one store had was 24 bottles and there was no guarantee that by the time we drove round them all they would still be there.
I think the best plan is to take back the bottles we already have, and get some wine somewhere else.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what to do next? Or know where we can get a similar quality wine for the same price?
–Thanks for your help0 -
I had a good look at the wine in tesco yesterday and at the moment they haven't got any real bargains like the one you are looking for or the wairau sauvignon blanc from a while ago. my advice would be to take the ones you have back to tesco and go to a small independant retailer explain your situation and buying 156 bottles I'm sure they will give you a good deal.0
