I received my second card yesterday which was a birthday card for aunt so the code definately worked for non-fathers day cards also and those that ordered non-fathers day ones should be ok getting them :)

Not sure why the code did not work for you maybe you can email them explaining? If they de-activated the code early then they may honour the deal and allow you to place the order anyway if it was their fault.

Well, I gave it another try before midnight but it still demanded £2 at the debit card stage; I'm really disappointed and annoyed. If they think I'll cave in and pay the full amount as I've spent so much time doing it, they are sadly mistaken. I think I'll steer clear of this site in future. Aren't there other better known ones, like Moonpig?

moonpig are good but much dearer..

Photobox have always been good for me- and if you do Quidco you can end up in profit. :)http://www.quidco.com/photobox/ http://www.photobox.co.uk/shop/cards-and-stationery/photo-greeting-cards
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I went to order mine after the promo had finished (Saturday) I ordered one anyway but to be delivered directly to my ex-stepdad without coming to me, will that be ok - having re-read the thread I see most people have had them sent to themselves first (I assume to hand write them) but as it had to click a different delivery address I filled in the "to" and "from" and did the greeting message in a different font. Now I am worried it'll arrive with the envelope seperately and not as the proper card. Just about to check my email again for an order number so that I can email them with an enquiry linked to my order no (If they have sent the conf email).

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Totts,
I did this last time with my MIL. She got the personalised card and a separate plain envelope delivered inside a bonus print envelope. The card was printed with the proper greeting message. I got my confirmation email with order number almost straight away.
Is that any help? Hope you get it sorted :)
  • Hello all,

I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly - my first time posting a message here and although I like to think I'm reasonably IT literate, using the forums isn't as straightforward as it seems!

In any case, I just had to say a big thankyou for the recommendation of the 50p Fathers Day card - it arrived just a few days after I applied and is absolutely brilliant! Unusual present and looks much more expensive than 50p too!

Thanks again, much appreciated...nowI'm off to enter hundreds of competitions as the recent mail suggested (rsi injury anyone?)
    Cheers :rotfl:

I have encountered a bit of a problem trying to sort out a reduced price gift on the fathers day front.

I have posted about it in the relevant section but I am not sure how busy that is and if I'll get a reply soon.

If I leave it then my order will have been processed before I can alert either or both of the companies to the situation.

Any advice gratefully received, I really don't want to have to learn the hard way as I've only just discovered this site, and sadly it comes just after my Mum has spent thousands with me ordering things online for her unkowingly missing out on extra deals, and much the same for myself when I downsized due to health reasons. I have been unwell though so too be fair I'm not sure I could have got my head around it any sooner on top of her divorce.

Still I hope someone has some feedback for me - thanks guys and gals.
