I thought Luton is in the North and Stansted in the East.....
In any case - from City Airport you have normal London busses and from any other airort you have to use coach/train to get into London so... expense wise City is probaby the best option
No quite, you can get a tube in from Heathrow.
OP, I would see where you get the best flight deals to.
No where in London is cheap, cheap & London do not go together.0 -
luton, stansted and gatwick are the 3 we have to chose from. I nned to book by midnight tonight to go for £1, Thanks for all the replys0

I am taking 2 kids (8 and 11) to London from Belfast next month. We are flying Flybe to Gatwick. The kids do not have ID and Flybe allows the adult to vouch for the kids' identity which meant that ultra cheap Ryanair was out of the question.0

We will be going from Belfast too.0

We are only having a day trip to London. I couldn't really afford the expense of a hotel stay as the return flights for 2 adults and 2 kids cost near £230. However, if I was to stay in London I would choose the Bayswater area.thanks very much, Gatwick it is then. Cifpower where are you staying? if you dont mind me asking.0 -
i never thought of a day trip as thought it might be too much as my children are a lot younger than yours. What are you planning on going to see? How are you getting from Gatwick to attractions? Thanks0

I have booked train tickets with Southern Trains (via https://www.thetrainline.com) direct from Gatwick to London Victoria. We will use that as our hub. We will take the tube to Green Park to see Buckingham Palace (the youngest wants to see where The Queen livesi never thought of a day trip as thought it might be too much as my children are a lot younger than yours. What are you planning on going to see? How are you getting from Gatwick to attractions? Thanks
) before walking down The Mall to Trafalgar Square. Then we will head to Horseguards and then down to Parliament and Big Ben. We will then head into town for lunch and a spot of shopping before heading to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London and then a Thames Cruise.
Hopefully we will be able to fit it all in!0 -
Just an aside - you say that you are booking the flights for £1? Surely that only means Ryanair and they only fly from Belfast City to Stansted?0
