Cheapest eye sight tests??

Hello
My friend needs to get an eye sight test but has very little spare cash. Does anyone have suggestions for where has cheap eye test/ half price offers on/ vouchers available etc?
(she doesn't qualify for a free nhs test or test by her employer).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Is she a member of nectar - if not she should join now as they have a free eye test on there with D&A - and to avoid being bullied into buying glasses there she should just say she wants a friend with her when she chooses. And whatever they say they should give her her prescription to take away.

Thanks for the ideas guys - I'm think she is a member of nectar will look into it.

Good idea about saying she needs a friend with her -if she needs glasses she'll have to get them as cheap as poss online, hopefully the £5 ones from selectspecs.

What sort of job does she do? My company pays for my eye tests as I work a computer all day.
  • If you go to the Tesco Magazine website, you will find a voucher link for a free eyetest.

Thanks - she's not entitled to a test as doesn't do computer work.

Have printed the Tesco voucher and a list of tescos with optitions near-ish to her.

Looks like the Tesco free eye test has now finished. Does anyone know of another available at the moment?

The Nectar one is still working. Just join if not already a member, login to your account - link a few posts above - and can print off a voucher. Just booked my free test with D&A for Thursday - normally £27.50! :money:

;) If you pick up a copy of the latest Marks and Spencer magazine (free to M&S cardholders, £1 otherwise) there is a voucher for a free eye test at D&A.
