I was wondering if anyone has had their kitchen units painted recently. I am in two minds whether to replace my oak doors or get them repainted a ligher colour as they are very dull and would like to brighten my kitchen up.
Could anyone recommend someone who paints kitchen units and do you think it looks good?

We didnt get our units painted but got other furniture (chairs etc) dipped and I would wholly recommend it. Will ask the mother in law for the contact as she arranged it. Very good service, collects & delivers and wasnt too hard to pay0

I also would like to do my oak kitchen doors but don't want to do it myself so a number and contact would be great if anyone has one0

I never thought painting cupboards was a great idea but did mine and they're brilliant. The key is preparation though - clean, light sand, clean, prime, two coats (use roller where possible). I used Crown Cupboard Makeover paint, champagne colour. Can't attach photos here unfortunately but I guarantee my before and after snaps would prompt you to do it!0

I did my own too when I was heavily pregnant and it made a huge difference. I went from having darkish brown old paint and grain, to gleaming fresh white. Bought a wee tin of silvery metallic paint and painted the doorknobs too, as I couldn't afford to replace them. they came up a treat too, and have lasted about 2 years before the paint is wearing off enough to be noticeable.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. King Group, CES can help you pick the colors that match your d!cor. They have a wide variety of color palettes and design books to look at. King Group, CES can help you decide what colors go together nicely and which combinations should be avoided.0

You can get a product called "Osmo" which do natural stains etc for wooden floors, doors and general wooden stuff. They do this one product, like a lightening paint for wood. Can't remember what you call it but it makes your wood really light, like a white wood again and then you can second coat any colour at all from natural colours like light oak, or, if you want, a yellow or blue!lol
It's worth a check out. I'm pretty sure they've a website with a list of suppliers, saves the hassle of gettin them dipped an not as costly as buyin new ones.0
