    my friend is in a skicky situation,and needs help!She was made redundant in nov and has not been able to get a job since.
    She had alot of debt and only getting job seekers allowance.
    Shes in denial and is desparate as to know what to do .
    Anyone got any ideas on how to takle this she has 4 cc, 2 loans plus the usual debts that we all have but with only £236 per month coming in she cant make ends meet.

    Please please please pay off all of your debts. Adding 'value' to your house is a complete false economy at this stage in your lives.

    Put very simply...
    Pay off debts and pay no more interest on them - ever.
    Then start a realistic savings plan to pay for the renovations - get interest on your savings!
