You can get sweetheart neck corsets but just be careful as some of them can be really high. You can also get one's that are straight but will be low enough to go under a sweetheart neckline.
Lindaatno9 will hopefully be along soon and able to advise you.0 -
As I've explained to Nat, it really depends what you want the corset to do. Do you want to change your shape ie, lose about 2-4"? If you do, a metal boned corset will do the job. Some are cut quite high but you can get them that are cut sweetheart shape over the top of the bust opposed to straight across. Please consider this. Wearing a full boned corset will be very constricting and wearing something for a length of time needs to be comfortable otherwise your face will tell all!!
Have you asked for the corset to be made into the gown?0 -
I have a sweetheart neckline corset - vollers do one which isn't very high although they are quite expensive! Personally I find a proper steel boned corset more comfortable than plastic boned basques etc as the bones don't bend and buckle when you're wearing it. I wore one under my wedding dress and it worked really well. The thing I had to be careful of with mine was the height at the back, as some corsets have quite a high back on them.
This is the vollers shape i have - http://www.vollers-corsets.com/corset/overbust-corset-v1106d/0 -
Hi, my dress is form landy bridal and i have heard that there corsety is not of the best standard...although i have asked for extra...i wish to make sure i am fully held in and lifted so to speak lol
My wedding is late in the day any way so the period of time is not immense.
I have been reccomended i buy a steel boned bust corset by several people...they have bought theres off ebay and said they are amazing..
any opinions?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE Forum Team0 -
Hi, I'm getting my corset made from a local corset shop and they advised me, if possible, to get a sweetheart neckline. Of course the dress I chose was has a stright neckline, but she said she'll be able to work around it. I have to go in with my dress so she can ensure that the back isn't too high etc. and then afterwards she'll 'jazz' the corset up a bit so I can wear it as an outer-garment.
She recommends wearing the corset for a few hours every 4 days or so from about 2 weeks before the wedding just ot get used to it; I'll be doing this with my shoes, so may just have a 'close the curtains and traipse around in shoes and underwear session like in Working Girl!0 -

If you can afford custom made then it is the best option - the corset I wore under my dress was custom made by someone local, it cost £250 which was a lot however it gave me such a massive confidence (and literal) boost on the day that it was well worth it. It did take a few weeks to get made though.0
