hi, i rang payplan yesterday and am waiting for them to ring me back to go through all the details. anyone any idea how long that takes?
also, after completing my budget, i looked at any areas where i could save. as luck would have it, i found a houe to rent right next to my daughter's school (we are currently a 15 min drive away) which is £10 cheaper per week. as there is a £10 per week shortfall in my housing benefit, i could save on rent (unless the property is an absolute dive i shall be moving in!). i rang the landlord's agent to enquire about the property a couple of times, they know i want it. as there is a credit check, i bit the bullet and told them about my debt problems but also that i am trying to combat that. she said that so long as i could prove that (a letter from payplan etc) there would be no problem. so, hopefully, i will save £10 per week on rent and £10 per week on petrol! total saving per week - £20!!! (i know that is obvious but hey, i am trying to keep myself motivated!)

thanks lookingahead. i was sensible, and weighed up the costs of moving etc, with the savings, and think i will be better off. plus, i have been promising my daughter since she started school (she is now in Yr4!) that we will love close enough for her to walk to school (with me, obviously!) i took her up today to show her where it is, and she walked to her school in 5 mins!! yes, we are both very excited!0
