Hi Guys,
Just to let you know, although it does not appear advertised on the website MEGABOWL do a great offer during the week, Monday to Friday, opening to 6.00 PM.
For £7 (I think) per person, you get "Unlimited Bowling".
Essentially, if there is space you pay £7 per person and they set you up for three games, when these finish go and ask and they set you up for another three games. If you are in the middle of the three games when 6.00 PM strikes you still get to finish.
This voucher offer interests me, but I just know that by the time you get there, and get down to it, 1 game is not really enough and you will want to play more, so poss ending up spending another £5.50 / £11 / £16.50 or even more per person. No such thing as a free lunch !
Contact your local megabowl and ask them about the offer. It is certainly still on in the one I went to, even though it is not on the webiste anymore0 -
Thanks fifo - that's handy to know !
I had a look on the website and it does appear under the current promotions for my local Megabowl (Bury) - looks like the times the offer is available may vary slightly from place to place :
Valid during the following times:
Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm
Friday & Saturday 10pm til close
Not available during School Holidays and Bank Holidays.
Terms and conditions:
Offer includes bowling at 3 consecutive games at a time. If the bowl is quiet you can continue for a further 3 games.0 -
Its certainly worth shopping around for bowling. There are 3 different places near me. One charges 5quid a game per person, another charges 1.95 per person mid week. Huge difference in price. Most places do have other offers on, like cheap games after 10pm on a wednesday or cheap day on monday etc... etc... so shop around if you havent got the paper!0

oooo ive just seen this thread, quick question do you need to collect both vouchers from yesterdays and todays paper, or can you get a free game with just one?0

Is there an available centre in Cornwall? We're off to Nequay for a week in April and would be something to do.
Nej, off topic from the original post (sorry folks) however ...
When you go to Newquay I have a good tip for you. Get yourself down to the Morrisons Supermarket at the edge of Newquay on Treloggan Road and look in the local weekly Newquay papers that are on the shelves near the tobacco counter (I think they have two different Cornwall weekly's). Sometimes they have a page of great discount vouchers for many of the attractions in Cornwall. Last year we bought four copies of the paper for around £2.40 and saved an absolute fortune on discounted entrance fees for my family. Also look in Morrisons entrance area where they have lots of leaflets, some with discount vouchers and again at the checkout tills/customer services desk.
Another tip if you are a Tesco Clubcard points collector. You can use Clubcard vouchers to cover the entrance fee at Flambards over at Helston. That is a great full day out for everyone, even my children aged 5 & 6 really enjoyed it (in fact we revisited a few days later). Note: On the first visit we used a discount voucher from the paper and paid the balance in Clubcard vouchers, however on the return visit they pointed out that discount vouchers strictly couldn't be used with clubcard vouchers (and they wouldn't budge!). Clubcard Vouchers can be used at other venues in Cornwall (I think the Blue Reef aquariam in Newquay is included), check out the clubcard website to be sure.
Hope this helps .. Enjoy the surf!0 -

Going from personal experience there is nothing to stop you booking a lane and when you are finished getting someone else from your party to book another session, using the remainder of the vouchers, it is too much hassle for staff to be that picky, all they are concerned about is that no transaction shows up on there till for more than one voucher per person at a time.
As a former manager of a bowling centre I know it was all about bums on seats, the longer people stayed the more they spent, so unless you are trying to pass off all the vouchers in one go no one cares, including the management."As if by magic... the shopkeeper appeared."0 -

Roger, I presume you mean the restriction of minimum of 4 players. Do you know if they have the time restrictions at Northampton like Sarahb mentioned?
Thanks
