IVA and Self Employed

Hi all,

Looking into the possibility of an IVA ... would I be able to be a Director of a Limited Company if I enter into an IVA?

Thanks
Mike

  • No need to poll. Unless your IVA proposal (perhaps after agreed changes by your creditors) says you can't, you can.

I am a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, but you have probably not provided all the information you would give me if we talked in private. Please therefore do not rely on this posting as being my BEST advice. It is only my initial thoughts based on what you have put in your post.

As one who has had a satisfied IVA I can tell you that I maintained my self employed director status throughout - unless you are disqualified by DTI as a result of something else there is no reason why not.
